Fibre to the Antenna

Bringing power and data to 4G and 5G Radio Heads

Fibre To The Antenna (FTTA) is a broadband network structure concerning the cabling and connectivity equipment used at antenna sites of Mobile Network Operators. This equipment brings power and data to the Radio Heads.

Prysmian has engineered first-class hybrid cables and distribution boxes specially designed to be adapted to different scenarios and plug-and-play hybrid drops. These market leading products and solutions provide stable and flexible electrical and optical connections for both 4G and 5G Radio Heads.

F-series FTTA products

The Prysmian F-series range offers a versatile suite of external wall or pole-mounted enclosures designed to support fibre, power, and hybrid connectivity in FTTA applications.

The Fibre Box is a compact, IP56-rated unit capable of housing up to 12 LC, SC or MPO adapters, with flexible cable entry options and configurations tailored to customer specifications.

The Power Box builds on this modular design, providing DIN rail space for up to 16 power terminals and accommodating up to 18 cable entries, making it ideal for power distribution in outdoor environments.

Bridging both functionalities, the Hybrid Box integrates fibre and power management in a single enclosure, supporting up to 24 LC or 12 SC fibre connections alongside 8 power terminals, with internal separation to maintain signal integrity.

All three units are engineered for durability, ease of installation, and compliance with rigorous environmental and mechanical standards.
