We design and manufacture the high voltage cables and cable accessories that form the energy transmission and distribution networks across the UK

We provide all the products needed for underground power transmission and distribution. Our cables range from standard low voltage (1 kV), through medium voltage (11 kV, 22 kV and 33 kV) to high voltage (66 kV, 132 kV) and extra high voltage cable (275 kV, 400 kV and above). Alongside this is a comprehensive range of cable accessories, including high voltage jointing services.

Our products and services are supplied directly to transmission and distribution companies, to contractors, or through specialist product distributors depending on the specific needs of each project. For turnkey projects, our design and installation teams will manage the whole process.

We work with all the Transmission and Distribution Network Operators and understand the requirements of existing networks, allowing us to design solutions that integrate with legacy systems.

Our long history of design and manufacturing in the UK means that we can provide the best support to established networks and to new operators. We’ll work with your specification team to understand the scope of the project and its particular design requirements. For all voltages: 11kV, 22kV, 33kV, 66kV, 132kV, 275kV and 400kV our design engineers will work directly with our local factories to produce the cable required for your network. Prysmian is an approved supplier of cable and accessories for all six distribution network operators as well as National Grid.
