Fibre to the Antenna
Fibre To The Antenna
Fibre To The Antenna (FTTA) concerns the cabling and connectivity equipment used at antenna sites of Mobile Network Operators. This equipment allows to bring power and data to the radio heads. Prysmian Group has engineered first-class hybrid cables, distribution boxes that can be adapted to different scenarios and plug-and-play hybrid drops. These solutions provide stable and flexible electrical and optical connections for both 4G and 5G radio heads.
Furthermore, specialized blowable hybrid cables have been developed to meet needs such as remote powering. This setup allows to bring power and data into one single cabling infrastructure, reusing existing ducts and thereby reducing or eliminating digging completely.
Prysmian's FTTA breakout unit is a preterminated and assembled aerial enclosure designed to take a single incoming hybrid cable wand redistribute to up to 3 Hybrid output glands to be used in the Prysmian FTTA Hybrid box. The breakout unit comes preconfigured with predetermined output lengths depending on pole/mast layouts. The unit comes with a pole mounting kit which allows easy, secure mounting to a mast, pole or wall.
Prysmian's FTTA Fanout assembly is a compact solution for providing connections between an FTTA junction box and a Remote Radio Head. The fanout assembly is designed to redistribute from an MPO/MTP + 2 core preterminated connector to single pair fibre or conductor units. The solution comes protected by flexible conduit in predetermined lengths to protect conductors and fibre throughout
Prysmian's FTTA Hybrid box is an aerial enclosure designed to take a single incoming preterminated hybrid cable and redistribute to up to 4 Hybrid RRH jumper cables. The box comes with a preconfigured top compartment ready for fibre and power connections in the lower compartment and external hybrid connections. The box comes with a pole mounting kit or wall mounting bracket which allows easy, secure mounting to a mast, pole or wall.
